COLLEGE WINNING TEAMS 2024

Winning teams did not dissappoint with this year’s Phoenix Challenge College Competition. After several years, RIT returned to the mix of competitors and they showe up with some bench strength. The 2024 Winners are:

  • Overall Competition – CalPoly - San Luis Obispo, California

  • Research, Graphics & Execution – RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) Rochester, New York

  • Concept – Illinois State University – Normal, Illinois

Top colleges from across North America competed for top positions at the 2024 Phoenix Challenge Foundation’s annual College Competition - Applalachian State University, Cal-Poly, Clemson University, Illinois State University, Toronto Metropolitan University and Rochester Institute of Technology shown with their instructors along with Bettylyn and Jordan Krafft, Josh Sigmon.

All the competing teams continue to amaze the judges and hiring companies. Several students have accepted internships and a few graduates are already making moves to join the industry. Can’t wait for next year!!!

The 2024 Competition season for Phoenix Challenge Students is complete. What a great year. Seventeen teams from across the country convened in Charlotte, North Carolina for the High School Skills Competition. Our biggest year in quite some time. The skilled trade world is heating up as young career seekers are drawn to trades that fit their goals and ambitions!

The PCF College Competition - April 26-27

Meanwhile, college students have their spotlight moment on April 26-27 at the Flexo Xperience Center in Atlanta, Georgia. For the 17th year, the college-level competition promises to be a thrilling showcase of technical expertise, business savvy and creative prowess. Students pursuing higher education in printing, graphics and technology-related fields will engage in challenges that mirror real-world scenarios, preparing them for the demands of their future careers.

The Flexo Xperience Center, renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities, will serve as an ideal backdrop for these college-level innovators to shine.The Phoenix Challenge Foundation, known for its commitment to education and industry collaboration, continues to evolve these competitions to mirror the evolving landscape of technology and innovation.

Both the high school and college competitions will feature challenges that emphasize not only academic excellence but also practical application, aligning with the foundation's mission to bridge the gap between education and industry needs. Participants can expect an immersive experience that goes beyond traditional classroom learning. The challenges are crafted to encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration – essential skills that will undoubtedly benefit these students in their future careers. Industry professionals and experts will serve as judges, providing valuable feedback and insights to help guide the students on their professional journey.

Each year the Phoenix Challenge Foundation hosts it's annual International High School Flexographic Skills Competition and hosts the Phoenix Challenge College competition for students in North America currently studying Flexography.
